Time to update?

Greetings,

First off, I'm terrible at this!  Every time I hand out a business card I think, "wow!  I haven't even updated this blog in forever yet here it is on my business card!"

I'm sorry I don't keep this regularly updated.  It's not like there isn't plenty going on!  I have lots of news for you on a regular basis, I just can't seem to find the time to update you on it.

Here goes for the most current news.

I will be teaching 2 classes for GHC Community Education this fall.

Windows 10 Basics - Starting October 2nd - Ending October 25th.  Classes will meet Mondays and Wednesdays in that time frame (8 classes total)

iPhone Basics - October 3rd and October 10th - Class will meet on Tuesdays for 2 classes total.  This will cover the iPhone only.  We will not focus on iPads at all nor any other platform phone (such as Android).  This will be strictly for iPhones.

For either the Windows 10 Basics class or the iPhone class you will need to register with Chelcie Bailey at GHC - chelcie.bailey@ghc.edu or 360-538-4088

I am still working on my BA from WGU.  I've had not time to complete too many classes there which is frustrating because I want to be done with it so I can start in on my Masters and be eligible to apply for Tenured employment thru the College.  (1st World Problems plague us all...)

I will also be teaching for the Transitions dept again this quarter.  This time I will be teaching an Information Literacy class for our ELA (English Language Acquisition) students.  I love this department!

Last but not least in the teaching category, I will be teaching my normal CIS100 class for GHC - this is a for credit course and meets Mondays and Wednesdays for the Fall quarter at 9 AM (that's a little early for me but it's not 8AM!).  If you would prefer this class, you will need to register at Admissions to attend.

I've been tutoring quite a bit this month as I've had some time off from the college.  That all changes next week.  I have 2 more weeks off and I will need to get my curriculum completed for the fall quarter.  We have changed books for both classes so I have to create some new materials to go with them.  Not difficult,  just time consuming.

If you are in need of some help, let me know before the 6th of September.  I will not be making any appointments for the weeks of September 11th (creating curriculum and getting ready for the 1st week of classes at GHC) or September 18th (first week of classes at GHC).

I will still be taking questions via text and email.

Talk to you soon and enjoy the rest of the summer!
Melissa
